Vic Hill
Top-10 finish in Lil’ Bill Corum Memorial at Tazewell Speedway
After weather delayed his season debut by a week, Tennessee veteran Vic Hill kicked off his 2025 campaign with a pair of Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals events on home turf over the weekend.
Hill’s season got underway Friday night at I-75 Raceway, where he was among 39 competitors vying for a spot in the main event. A sixth-place run in his heat forced him into a B-Main, where he narrowly missed the transfer by a single position, finishing fourth.
Undeterred, Hill returned Saturday to the familiar high banks of Tazewell Speedway for the prestigious Lil’ Bill Corum Memorial. The Mosheim native impressed early by clocking the second-fastest time in his qualifying group and backing it up with a runner-up effort in his heat race. Lining up ninth in the $21,000-to-win finale, Hill rolled to a consistent ninth-place finish in the 75-lap affair.
