Vic Hills Scores First Win of the Season in Exciting Fashion at Boyd's
Tuesday night saw Vic Hill return with the Schaeffer’s Oil Southern National Series at Boyd’s Speedway (Ringgold, Georgia) competing in a field of 28 cars. Laying down the fastest time overall in his qualifying group, Vic earned the pole position for the A-Main. Jumping into the lead on the drop of the green flag, Hill held off Randy Weaver and Dale McDowell in the final 10 circuits to capture his first win of the season and a $3,500 payday. On Saturday night Hill rejoined the Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals Series at Tazewell Speedway (Tazewell, Tennessee) for the series finale. Drawing 23 Super Late Models for the $10,000 top prize, Hill followed up the 11th fastest time in qualifying with a 4th place finish in his heat. Starting the feature 11th, Vic slipped back to a 19th place outing after bringing out a caution on lap 31 with a flat tire.
